The Power of The Dress

May 21, 2015

As the temperature heats up here in L.A. by not too many degrees of course, but enough to where I can ditch the pants –  Who am I kidding? We never HAVE to wear pants here in L.A.! But I’ve always been a stylish jeans and t-shirt kind of gal, and lately I just haven’t wanted to be restricted or bound in any way down below. It’s bad enough I have to wear undies. So, I decided back in April to start buying more dresses I can wear everyday. No new tops or blouses. No jeans. Just dresses.

I found that wearing dresses wasn’t only easier to wear, but also freeing and empowering. The feeling of the fabric gently hugging my curves, or the grace and ease of a flowing A-line silhouette impacted my sense of womanness and femininity. I reconnected with myself as a woman. It softened me, and I felt the light of my feminine power grow brighter. Sometimes we lose a little bit of that in the workplace, or forget we even have it as we grow older. There is power in the dress. Here are a few of my favorites I’m currently sporting, and also a few I’d love add to my collection.
