9 Ways To Leave Others Love Struck on TheDailyMonarch.com

Not too long ago I read an article on one of my favorite lifestyle blogs, Zen Habits, that inspired me to do some self-reflection.  The blogger gushes about his mother’s post-visit magic–leaving him and his family love struck, and with new hobbies, passions and better versions of themselves.  I asked myself the question, “Am I making others’ lives better?” Now, I don’t mean in the sense of philanthropy and giving back.  I am coming from the point of view, of my walking around, everyday life.  The daily little things.

I aspire to be the person who brings this incredible energy and passion to a room that is welcoming and contagious, but not overwhelming.  I want to leave work, my family, friends, and significant other not only wanting more, but also feeling like they can takeover the world…feeling positive, energetic, optimistic and hopeful.

So the next question to myself is, “How do I take on this challenge?”  I preface this with I can be very moody at times, and I don’t always put my best foot forward when a lot is being thrown at me.  I tend to go within myself and hyper-focus on my own life.  However, I think when I do this, it pushes me away from entering every situation with the intention of positive transformation.  With that being said, I have created a list of ways that will help you to not only impact others in a positive way when you leave them, but they will be straight up, lovesick.  I pulled this from what I believe helps inspire, but also what the beautiful people in my life do that leaves me a better person.

  1. Always be kinder than you feel
  2. Set the frequency with a smile, no matter what.
  3. Stop talking shit.
  4. Pay compliments whenever possible
  5. Become a better listener.  Truly hear and feel what people are saying to you with the intention to understand them better.
  6. Shift the POV to being the problem solver when issues, concerns and worries arise.
  7. Share interesting and inspiring finds often
  8. Speak from your heart, not your head.
  9. Always operate from the place of love, first, not defensiveness.
