My Style: I Stay Laced And Strapped, Bro

November 12, 2015

I am super excited to finally share my personal style with you folks – and also very nervous.  I have been reluctant to post style photos, but I finally caved.  For years I have received compliments on my pairings, from friends and strangers alike, urging me to show it off in photographic form.  However, a part of me has always felt like being your “own model”, so to speak, is a bit self-important, narcissistic, and not me at all.  Do not misunderstand, I love style bloggers and follow a few I really like and find inspiring. It just was never ME.

But I recently changed my tune, and decided to get out of my comfort zone and have a little fun here at MONARCH.  My goal for showcasing my personal style is to inspire and help my readers create their own simple, beautiful and chic looks.

I feel amazing in it.  The faux leather pants are what I LIVED in last fall/winter, and could not wait to whip them out again.  I literally wish I could wear these, every day without anyone noticing.  It is a look in which I feel most comfortable, sexy and myself.

The Free People lace up sandals are my new love.  I stumbled upon these puppies a couple of weeks ago, and said, “MINE!”  And they were on sale. Score.  These are super comfortable and I have worn these all day without discomfort.  And since I am in L.A., I will be able to rock these season after season.

I also cannot get over this M*A*C Cosmetics satin lipstick in Amorous that I have been wearing daily. It is the perfect darker natural lip color for the caramel skinned lady.
