Fave California Etsy Shops For Wedding Extras

SMS Photography via Mod Wedding

Planning a wedding has not been the most fun experience for me. I do not like planning events. Never have.  Even when I was in public relations, I always steered clear of event planning. It’s not my thing, and I hate all the little details you have to account for. I am always hitting severe levels of anxiety, hoping I’m not leaving out a small detail that can cause a big problem, and planning a wedding is no exception. But, with the help of my lovely wedding coordinator, Maricela at Alicia C. Creative, most of the stress has been taken away. Phew. There are of course, many positives and some things I love about the wedding planning process. For one, all of the yummy tastings.  Adil and I were able to take home leftovers from one place…I mean..it’s seriously the best. Secondly, buying my beautiful gown at Nicole Miller. AND lastly, going HAM on Etsy. I freaking love Etsy. I have been able to find all of my wedding extras at a handful of awesome, California-based Etsy shops, that I highly recommend for your nuptials. For all my Cali brides, here is a round-up of a few of my faves. read more

She intrinsically wanted to see the poppies. It wasn’t a trend for her.  However, my mom is usually ahead of her time as she enlightened me about Coachella way before it was cool. Upon seeing all of the photo ops, my immediate thought was, “It’s so trendy, I don’t even want to go.” And to be honest, I didn’t really want to drive out there anyway.  I thought, “maybe I’ll admire from afar.” I just didn’t get a case of FOMO….at all. read more
