MONDAY FRIDAY matching loungewear set

@fashanieceta wearing the Power Set

So, we’ve been surviving this pandemic for quite some time now. We are coming up on our sixth month since the alarm was rung. How ya’ll feeling? I’m not gonna lie, I have good days and bad days; but overall, the socially distanced life is definitely weighing heavily, as I am sure it is for everyone. The novelty of zoom celebrations and WFH has truly worn off. Some of us are still looking for work, some of us are missing fun and excitement, some of us are beyond overwhelmed with having to homeschool little ones while working full time, and many of us are a combination of these. We are all coming from different vantage points. But, one thing is for sure and that is that we want to feel and look our best, even if we are mostly doing that from home.

While I have indeed been neglecting this blog, I did decide to launch MONDAY FRIDAY!  It is an online store dedicated to matching sets and staple pieces. It’s for women who work from home and still want to feel in control of their day, look good and feel comfortable while doing it. Most of the brands I sell are made in LA, high quality, and affordable.  read more

Gift Guide: My Go-To Jewelry Brands

December 10, 2019

I am a jewelry and accessories lover, and it’s where I usually spend the most money. I love jewelry pieces that are simple and will stand the test of time. I love to layer, stack and dress up my basic a** outfits. I don’t do prints – I do jewels. So just in time for Christmas, I thought I’d share the top three jewelry brands I most often purchase from, with the hope that you will find the perfect gift for that special someone on your list. Or perhaps you can add more sparkle to your own jewelry collection. I am all about gift-giving to myself! Now, there are a lot of great jewelry brands out there, but these are the three I have found to be both high in quality without a super high price tag. read more

Autumn/Winter 2019 Wardrobe Update

October 4, 2019

Fall fashion is finally here, folks. It is my favorite time of year! But, you already know that, and no I don’t mind sounding like a broken record. I already have a lot of pieces I am excited to wear again from last autumn/winter like my white ankle boots and teddy coat. I do not plan to buy a whole lot this season because I simply don’t need it. I have some great pieces in my current wardrobe, patiently awaiting my return. I want to focus my monies on saving, travel and decorating our new place. So, here is a list of items I’ll be re-wearing, and what is on my wishlist. I plan to buy gently used or resale when possible.  read more

The White T-Shirts I Can’t Live Without

June 2, 2019

Hey guys! I’m back. It’s been a minute as I have been in transition since starting a new job. You know how that is. But I’m back in the swing of things and so excited to start blogging regularly again about the things I love and are on my heart to share. This week it is all about white t-shirts. It is finally starting to heat up here in Los Angeles and white tees are becoming the focal point of my outfit. Whether I pair them with the infamous leopard midi-length skirt of the year or a structured pair of lightweight trousers, I am very selective.

I don’t like spending $100 on the perfect white t-shirt, I think that is insane and unnecessary. A t-shirt can’t be THAT amazingly soft. It just can’t. So, as an avid tee wearer, here are my top picks you can’t go wrong with –  and as a bonus, they are better for the environment and/or won’t hurt your pockets. read more

My Fall 2018 Fashion Wishlist + Style Inspo

October 10, 2018

My Fall 2018 Wishlist + Style Inspo @itsjenniferrose

The temperature is dropping and It finally feels like fall in LA – my favorite time of year. Bring on the HOT Dirty Chai and long evenings. Fall fashion makes me very happy. I am excited to build layers, rock my many variations of black leather boots, and a vampy lip. And I’m ready for my mom to ask me why I wear so much black, LOL. For me, it’s the best time to express myself through style.

I already own a lot of great pieces from last year that I am excited to style again, but I am also looking forward to adding a few more pieces to refresh my fall wardrobe. I don’t believe in buying an entire new closet worth of clothes every season. I have pieces I love and wear year after year, so only a few items are necessary. Having less to work with allows me to be more creative with my personal style. So, check out what’s on my short list! read more

Here’s what I’m loving in February

February 25, 2018

https://www.hairbro.com/media-center/

I want to share a few of my favorite things as of late. And maybe I should start sharing this more often. Since it’s my first time doing this, it is quite an exhaustive list. It ranges from hair and beauty to fashion and everything in between. Enjoy and feel free to comment. Hopefully, you see something you want to check out.

I also need to do a quick write up on our Park City experience during the holidays. I am so geeked to visit again next year. Park City is such an amazing little town with excellent food and activity. And I cannot wait to share with you all.

My two oversized button-up shirts from Aritzia

Oversized button ups are a thing for me. I first fell in love with an old Ann Taylor one I had for years that I, unfortunately, had to get rid of because it was too worn out. Then, Aritzia had a sale and I stumbled upon these two babies. The quality is THE BEST. I believe this is a chic staple everyone should have in their wardrobe. You can wear them so many different ways. I cannot live without at least one.

Initial necklace by Anthropologie

My boss gave all the girls on her team this necklace, and no joke, we all wear it regularly. It is so simple, yet statement-making. I layer it with my Evil Eye necklace or wear it alone.

Red booties from Zara

I got them so cheap on sale, and they are a beautiful soft red leather with tiny silver studs. I’ve worn them almost every other day. They are the perfect winter red shoe.

Similar ones here.

Rag & Bone Mules

My hubby surprised me with these for Christmas, and I died. I was totally not expecting such an incredible shoe. Between these and the red booties, they have been the only shoes I’ve worn for the last two months. And I love that I don’t see a lot of people wearing them.

Dermalogica Phyto Replenish oil

Can Dermalogica make anything I don’t like? I mean, really. Almost my entire skincare regimen is Dermalogica, and adding this wonderful oil has helped so much with dehydrated skin. I tried this before as I got it free through work. And then I just didn’t buy it again. Why? I have no idea. It’s expensive as hell but worth it. It’s lightweight and great for your skin. I use it at night and during the day by mixing it with my tinted moisturizer in the mornings, and it gives me that perfect healthy glow without doing too much and looking greasy. read more
