What To Do and Eat In Santa Ynez Valley
March 7, 2016
As I previously mentioned in my Mt. Baldy post, my quest to seize my home state has been a goal of mine this year, and so far I’m not doing too shabby. This past Valentine’s Day, my wonderful, sweet boyfriend took me on a trip to Solvang. Literally the cutest little Danish town dropped in central California, and it’s only a two hour drive from L.A. Surprisingly, I had never heard of this place, but it quickly became one of my favorite getaways.

A Late Afternoon at Mt. Baldy
January 24, 2016
The beauty of living in Southern California is experiencing all of the exhilarating local escapes. You can literally decide the day of, to pack a bag road trip it to encounter crisp blue waves crashing ashore, a gorgeous desert, or even the snow; and all within 2 to 3 hours or less. I have made it my personal goal to explore more of California this year. There is still so much I have not seen, and I am a freaking native!

Prior to committing to a full ski or snowboard day, we decided to first check it out and get into some tobogganing. Unfortunately, Patty Mayonnaise was not feeling well, and we did not make it out to Mt. Baldy until late Saturday afternoon. But though we only had a few hours, we did have an absolute blast. Here is why we would visit again: read more

The Essentials: Labor Day California Road Trip
August 30, 2015
It is truly a treat to be born and raised in California. The state is filled with beautiful locales to explore on weekend trips – Big Sur, Joshua Tree, Palm Springs, Big Bear. The list is endless. Whatever adventure you choose, it is bound to be nothing short of epic with plenty of activity. There is still so many places I have not visited and looking forward to what is in store for this year’s Labor Day. I’m leaning towards Catalina Island, as it would be my first time!
The temperature is definitely reaching its climax, and for those of us hitting the California roads to embark on our last trip of the summer, I’ve provided some necessary essentials to pack for the upcoming holiday weekend. read more
