My latest discoveries @itsjenniferrose

Ooh chile, I can’t believe it’s already November! Let the mayhem begin. With so many things on the to-do list from now through December, we’d best practice meditation and try our darndest to be present to maintain a sliver of sanity. As much as I love this time of year, it makes me anxious as well because I am usually going a mile a minute. Who feels me? But instead of thinking about all of the obligations, shopping and mandatory family gatherings, haha, let’s talk about fun stuff. Here are my recent discoveries over the last few months from beauty to health and wellness. Check it out!

Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream

I will preface this with, I don’t have dark under eyes or bags, so I can’t speak to the effectiveness of those aspects, but I love how this eye cream feels and a little goes a long way. It provides a blurring and brightening effect to the under the eye that looks great no matter your skin tone. And it is perfect for weekday mornings since I don’t usually wear under eye concealer unless I’m going out, or for special occasions.

Top Up Tonic by Hello.me

If you’re taking any form of hormonal birth control, and don’t have this supplement, you are missing out. I forget how I discovered this. It might have been The Cut, or most likely Facebook suggested it to me. You know how that goes. I’ve been taking the Top Up Tonic now for almost three months and I love it. It has all of the vitamins that birth control can leave us deficient in, like Selenium and Magnesium. These deficiencies can cause mood swings, acne or blemishes, bloating, weight gain, etc. I have definitely noticed an improvement in my overall well-being with this product, plus I feel like I’m personally getting exactly what my body needs.

Made for All Gentle Body Cleanser by Kiehl’s

Although, I’ve put Kiehl’s down for quite some time due to questionable ingredients, I was really excited when I first got wind of their new Made For All Gentle Body Cleanser. I recently used this in my bath and LOVED it. The cleanser made my skin feel soft and provided just the right amount of bubbles. They are recommitted to ‘Naturally Derived Ingredients, Sustainably Sourced, Recycled Materials, Responsible Packaging & Manufacturing, and Kiehl’s Gives.’ The cleanser is formulated with 95% naturally derived and 100% biodegradable ingredients. This refreshing formula keeps you clean, while the packaging, made with 100% post-consumer recycled materials helps keep the planet healthy. It’s soap free and the ingredients list is much shorter than what you’re used to seeing with Kiehl’s products. It’s suitable for everyone age 3+, so the whole family can use it. It does still have fragrance, but it’s a mild flowery/fruity scent and was not irritating for me.

*Kiehl’s provided a product sample for review purposes.

Panasonic Facial Steamer

This is actually not a new discovery for me. It’s more of a re-discovery. I’ve had this Panasonic Facial Steamer for years and completely forgot I owned one. But lately, I’ve been clearing out all of the stuff we don’t need/use to sell or give away, and I stumbled upon this wonderful skin treatment.  And I thought to myself, “Why haven’t I been using this!?” Steamers are an amazing bonus to your skincare routine to help products sink into your skin better, as well as to help get rid of blemishes on your own. And even better, they’re not expensive. I like to use it once a week in the evenings after I cleanse and before I apply the rest of my products. This one is a winner.

Navitas Naturals Organic Maca Powder

I am a such a health nerd, and I love new powders and potions that I can add to my smoothies. It makes me feel like I’ve discovered this magic that will make me superhuman, even though that ish doesn’t exist, LOL. But it is nice to get a little health boost now and again. Plus it makes you feel good! Prior to purchasing this, I had seen a few videos and read articles about this delicious powder but hadn’t yet pulled the trigger. Then recently, my mom mentioned how much she enjoyed it and I finally decided to purchase it for myself. I highly suggest you purchase from CVS to try it because it’s a 4oz package, and if you have a CVS ExtraCare card, they always have 25% and 30% off coupons. Maca root supports energy and is an adaptogen, so it promotes balance in the body. What I love most is the nutty malty flavor and have recently added it to my protein smoothies. So yummy.
